Berbera Times is their daily connection to home — a reliable source of news, culture, and community that bridges the distance between where they are and where their hearts remain.

Our Name
We are named after Berbera — Somaliland’s historic port city on the Gulf of Aden. For centuries, Berbera has been a gateway between Somaliland and the world: a place of trade, of arrival, of departure, and of connection. That is exactly what we aspire to be — a gateway through which Somaliland’s voice reaches the world, and through which the world comes to understand Somaliland.
